Transbaviaans on a Fatbike

Wondering if it would be possible for a fairly cycling fit individual to do the Trans on a fairly light carbon Fatbike.

Warick_wrx, definitely yes, I saw 2 or 3 in 2015 who finished and they were cyclists with older birthdates than 20-30 even 40 year olds.

Sure I did freedom challenge on a fatbike. The day we went through I left Cambria at 6 am and was in Willowmore by 11pm was far from really fit that year.

If fat people like me can do the Trans, then why not Fatbikes.

I have seen that done by 2 guys, not during the race, but on a recreational cycling expedition, I think it was about 5 years ago.

There's probably no worse feeling than suffering up Suikerbossie in your first Argus and spotting a guy on a uni 10m in FRONT of you

One of them was a woman actually... they attempted to ride the Freedom Challenge route on Uni's.

 

They made it but had to have a second grab due to time constraints.

 

Bear in mind 2 guys rode UP and down Killimanjaro on Uni's as well.... There are some pretty talented folk out there
