Odd that the timing is done by a timing company called RaceTec - but seemingly not the same RaceTec that do the PPA events/Argus timing

Pity I'm missing it.CT marathon got in the way of bike riding this weekend.

 

It's usually a pretty slick race and quite a lot of fun.

More and more you can't rely on the "event" page to see what events is coming up as the organisers are not promoting / sharing their events on the hub...

Last time I did a race at Boschendal was back in 2013 and then there were no singletrack, we just rode up & down dusty vineyard tracks...

 

Now seemingly they are letting us ride singletrack with exotic names like Skyfall, looking forward to ride in a few new spots.

Now seemingly they are letting us ride singletrack with exotic names like Skyfall, looking forward to ride in a few new spots.

We rode Boschendaal a little while ago and the single track was pretty fun... smooth and fun.

 

The views of the peaks and the surrounds will be worth the jeep track through the vineyards!

 

I will be running on the M3 and Main road in a bid to qualify super Early for 2 Oceans so I'm sure you guys will manage just fine.

 

Skyfall? Are there ones called 'You only live twice' or 'Die another day'?

Think this might just be my new favourite mtb event on the calendar..

 

Very well organised by Stillwater, you can see this guys know what they are doing

 

The singletrack on Boschendal was sublime (I am not going to wait for an event to ride there again), enjoyed everything the race threw at me right until after skyfall, the last stretch of rocky singletrack through Knorhoek(?) my tired & sore body on a hardtail did not really appreciate but that's mtbing.

 

Mtb'ing has come a long way from the boring mtb Argus'es that used to be hosted at the same venue. If they move it back to Boschendal I would be the first to enter.

Don't forget the singletracks on the other side of the valley against Simonsberg. Tracks like Inferno, Sugar Bowl and Porcupine

gutted i missed out, realised very late and then saw entries had closed already.

It was all such a rush but I do recall a little sign saying Sugar Bowl before an awesome stretch of singletrack 

 

The singletracks against Simonsberg must surely some of the best in the WC? Will make a plan to ride there again soon.
