want to buy myself a new front brake, avid isn't cutting it

when blasting down a hill at 40kms you cant even pop a stoppie and hold it for 2cm

stupid brake groans and feels like the lever will explode, I don't give a dam if its hope or magura, 4 pot guide,

no shimano because they lack sensitivity and  feel for the bike

Just want to know what i should get that will lock up at 50-40kms?

Please give your experiences with decent powerful brake just for my front end

I did once borrow a 4 pot hope tech v4 and that thing locked up with a tap of the finger and had a good feel for the bike

Although 2k is a bit much new and no one will sell me a second hand one...

If you can get brand new Hope Tech v4 for R2k a side I would snap them up because that I'd a good price!

they where on CRC for 2.2k a side

probs be even cheaper on black friday

although i only have at most 1k to go second hand

These the end !

More Power & modulation than most of us can ever use. They are the best brakes ever full stop.

I don't know about the newer Tech brakes but the lever on that range is a bit iffy, I had X2's and eventually went back to Shimano because of the awesome lever, and I quite like the feel of Servowave... and being able to buy pads off eBay for R30 a pair vs R400 odd at the lbs for Hope X2 pads because no one makes generic X2 that I could find. That being said the 4 pot Tech brakes can use the older XT shimano type brake pads?
