Just hang around a bit if you don't want to go past alone and cycle with them. I cycle alone 99.999% of the time and , touch wood, had no any issues so far.

The red in the image are the areas I completely avoid and the amber section on the R310 is safer to ride, I would still try to do it in a group if possible, as Karman mentioned there are loads of cyclists so just ride the section in a group if possible.
JohanC Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Two well dressed guys tried to rob me this morning (09:00) just past the camera (towards Bottelary). The one guy was sitting on the stairs while the orher one was standing on the pavement, “hiking”. I was aware of them and was riding on the right hand side of the yellowline. Just as I came in line with them the guy on the pavement jumped at me and tried grabbing me on the left rear pocket. I was in the right gear so I swerved out and accelerated. Luckily all good!Safe riding
