I see EBH bike broke and the Di Data car was following CAV... So team Sky stopped and gave him a bike to make sure he finished the stage.

 

What did the UCI do? Fine him 150 euros, which team sky DS paid this morning for EBH.

 

Sometimes sport is lekker, almost no thanks to governing bodies like UCI/CSA.

Pierre Rolland declared to France Televisions this morning: “It’s not given to anyone to win at Alpe d’Huez. I hope to have some fuel in my legs and enough strength to target the stage win again. Losing Uran is a big blow for our team but we always have to take some positive in the negative news. It gives me more freedom and also to the other riders in the team.”
