Been broken with a bloody viral thing for more than a week and reckon at best I will be back on the bike next week and Monday.

Sorry to hear.  Hope you recover soon.  Yesterday was also not a good day for me.  Getting out of bed was already an accomplishment for the day.  Decided to take the train to work and let the body rest a bit.  Feeling much better today.

The wind blew me away this morning...

Welcome the 'Wind Season' in the Cape.

And it is even worse later this afternoon.

Luckily Windy predicts a tailwind back home.

Apparently we will also have wind this afternoon and it was raining this morning so I came to work on the "dikwiel".  We have predictions for 40 km/h winds which will hit me more from the left on the way home.  At least tommorow is a public holiday so I can "recover" a bit.

Did my first cycle home for a while yesterday, and then had the pleasure of cycling into the wind this morning ........ legs felt like jelly when I got to town :P

Nope the one you posted is currently causing problems in the South.  Propably why we will have some wind this afternoon.  Last week was a low pressure system that hit.  Happens fairly often especially in the colder months here.  I will normally avoid riding by bike when these winds hit.  Not that I am scared of the wind (reminds me of cycling in CT) but more about trees falling on your head is not that much of health benefit.

Hey guys and gals,

I hope you don't mind me posting this here. If you would prefer i remove this, i can do so.

Friends of mine daughter, Elleny (6 years old), has recently been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is currently undergoing treatment.

There are many extra costs that are being incurred during Elleny's treatment and we would love to be able to help the Engelbrecht family.

I will riding the Darling TTU 24 hour mountain bike race this weekend, 6-7 October 2018.

If you would like to help please consider sponsoring a lap!! Or a small donation.

I will be attempting 25 laps during the 24 hour period. 25 laps equals 250km and 5000m of climbing.

Let me know if you would be able to participate in this fundraising initiative. I totally understand that times are tough but every little bit helps.

Kind regards,

Stefano

Eish, hearing the wind pumping over our warehouse. Quite scary to be frank.

Hopefully, my 62kg body and 7.2kg bike will arrive safely at home.

Let's see...

You are such a brag.

At least you will have a tail wind.

I have to drag my 75kg body into the head wind on the mtb.
