Cannondale Scalpel-Si 3

Hello,

I tried out the Cannondale SI 3 and loved the ride, does anyone have any comments or feedback about it? I would put on Onza tubeless and a dropper post.

I currently have a hardtail.

I am 5ft8 and 62kg - female.

Looking for a bike I don't need to upgrade for many years, riding Tokai type single track.

Many thanks!

My mate is riding this machine, He loves it, he might be about 2" taller than you. Rides Tokai often, he has only been riding for a wee while and he has started to keep up with me on the single track, such is his confidence on this bike

Danie? I completely blame him as he let me ride his new bike and it was complete love.....

I’ve had mine for 14 months or so.

The frame - so nicely balanced and designed for South African XC conditions

Aesthetically stunning

No complaints or con points ????

had mine for almost a year now.  i struggled up the steep climbs a little as i'm not the greatest climber, so i put on the sram eagle groupset.

it's a really great buy, you will not regret it.

Sell that kidney Bru

Already sold one to upgrade my Flash to an Eagle Groupset. Now apparently I have to have at least one kidney otherwise I am in the dwang !!

Phenomenal geometry and suspension. I have the 2, so cannot comment on 3 component mix.

Ride is fantastic for most singletrack and trails most run of the mill SA MTBers ride, to boot I’ve consistently been going faster on singletrack (objectively if Strava is anything to go by) since I got the bike 12 months ago (I’ve been MTBing for 22 years to illustrate the point). The handling inspires so much confidence and the fact that the Lefty stays active under heavy load and breaking / turning really changes the game with regards to traction and confidence.

I bought mine because it was a really good deal at the time and have come to love it based on its ride.

I was also looking at the 3. But with my wheels and groupset i had to go for the 4. Awesome bike.. even last nights ride while im a bit sick i went faster on welvanpas single track..the bike goes where you want it to go....

Only a few differences between the two bikes..

28 hole wheels instead of 32 hole

Remote lockout on both while 4 only front

Alloy bars and seatpost or carbon on si3

Groupset xt and xtr

And maybe a few other things ive missed..LOL

Bought the bike and love it! I am going to try with the one by 32 and 11 but do understand the need to change to 12 - the hills....... But maybe I'll get stronger!!!
