eddy Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Is there a difference between a XT 10 speed chain and a road bike chain ? A roadbike needs a new chain and I have a spare new XT one in my cupboard. Any reason I can't run it on a 10 Speed Record Groupo?

Eldron Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 I'm fairly sure 10spd was the exception to the rule. 9 and 11 made no difference road and MTB but 10spd had specific chains for each discipline... Edit: digging further into memory the road was 6701 and MTB was hg95 I think.
