Leatt DBX 3 Sizing Question

Hi All

I need to get a new helmet as the old one is a bit muf and about 5 years of age with some hairline fractures appearing in the foam.

I have settled on the Above helmet, but:

According to my noggin size, 58cm, I need to get a medium.
Now the medium fits like a glove, but there is basically no room for anything left. Like putting a buff on during a colder ride would almost make it too tight or even my winter mop (hair). I almost worried that the airflow is not going to be good through the helmet as I do not even need to adjust rear adjuster to get it to fit snugly on my head.

So I suppose my question is: Do I size up?

If you are borderline M/L I would rather go with the bigger size. However you don't want it falling around.

Why don't you find a shop where you can try both? I bought my DBX from Bike Addict last week, sure they can arrange both sizes for you to try on.

Yeah, I suspect I will have to upsize too. Will talk to my local LBS

I know this is a bit of a necro but I figured I'd ask here rather than starting a new thread.

I'm looking at getting the Enduro version of this helmet with the removable chin bar. According to the size guide I'm on the edge between medium and large so I need to find a physical bike shop with them in stock so I can try them on to get the right size (and if it fits I will buy it from said bike shop because I'm not an asshole before anyone makes that point :P ). Does anyone know of stores that stock these helmets in Joburg (preferably in the north)?

I have a different helmet(Bell Super R2) I am on a Medium, which starts at 56cm, and the Helmet looks to big for me. I would go with the smallest size possible, I'm a small in a Giro.

I don't ride with a Buff or cap on the Enduro lid, so that wasn't an issue, besides, but I would rather try it out with a buff on to see If you cant sneak it in before going up size.

Just my experience.

I think I'm a 58 and the Medium fits me well, normally a med for most helmets

I have seen Leatt kit at Sprocket & Jack but not sure what stock they carry or who might have stock of helmets.

You are welcome to try mine on for size but I'm in Norwood.
