Is there a tracking site like MAProgram that is presently giving fantastic coverage of the Tour Aotearoa in NZ? Cape Epic Rule 12.7 states that 'No rider may distribute any GPS data.....' Does this mean that we cannot let our friends and families know where we are? If so, is there a way to show them how we are going even if the uploads are done at the end of each day and not live>

Thanks V12man. It would be good if they gave us the site info now so we can tick off another list item this week instead of rushing next week. By the way I'm 60, an Aussie, a first timer and won't mention the cricket!

milky4130 Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Also the 12.7 rule is for post race gps files so riders do not ride illegally on the many private land sections you will cross during the race.

By the way I'm 60, an Aussie, a first timer and won't mention the cricket!Welcome and good luck - I agree it would be good - but it becomes very obvious - and you won't be using it yourself most likely - they do send you a text message every evening with your race results of the day and the next days seeding etc - you will see - it's very slick. It's kind of an unforgiving race - hope you bring some skills with you - remember - you can't finish if you don't finish a day.... There is PLENTY of good solid epic advice from many here on this site - from tires to bum health.
