Can anyone tell me if Kyalami is open in the afternoons/evenings on weekedays, and what time it closes??

I am headed up from Cpt and need to do a bit of training during the week.

Not knowing the area that well I assume this is my best option?  I am staying in the midrand area, just off New rd

SlowJoe' date=' just get up later, I go out at around 9am and its not so cold then if you dress OK.

But I hit the gym and run/row/circuit and then try and ride 2 a week in winter.

I think the point of riding early is dodging traffic.

Ride your MTB, I got great singletrack on the pavements around my area, I got 3 nice routes from my house 22, 32 and 45km all on pavement, singletrack and a little road hopping.

A lot safer then hitting the road at that time. Also a lot warmer than road bike in winter as the airflow is not as fast on an MTB.

hey pieman... dont worry - it happens to the best of us. Give your body a rest. After 2 weeks of doing nothing you'll be ITCHING to get back on the bike... dont fret it right now

Fand, I really hope so.  On one hand it's stressing me out a bit, but on the other hand I'm enjoying the vegetating.

Hey Ewep!!!Enter the Jock or something!!It alway's helps to have something to train for. Also don't take of to long,it only makes it harder to start again and that won't help the motivation.

nochain, problem with all the races are that my work commitments have tripled these last few weeks!!!  So I need to fit everything in (and it clearly is NOT working!)

Big%20smile

Commute 5 times p/week to work -- 6.15 (dodge traffic) -- hit the gym / shower / work & off I go again the afternoon !! Thumbs%20Up

It takes some motivation to get into this routine - Cold is all gud - clothes help but the wet - that is something else !!!
