Hi all..

So my one carbon cage popped over the weekend.

Loved them but I cannot get the same ones again.....

I had the Specialized carbon look-a-likes that can bend and twist on before but the bottles are not secure enough and I have lost one or two already.  Confused  Not good.

So......for the road bike........what looks cool, doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is functional and light.....??

Spidey - any minute now you gonna have the hairy legged okes suggested a Dunlop hydration pack from Game. You may struggle with the 'looks cool" bit unless you go with that previously shown under the shirt TT look .......

You lost a bottle with Spez Rib Cage? Then I'm afraid there is nothing for you. I use it on my MTB and I don't even loose any bottles.

BTW, what size are your bottles? The plain plastic ones, like the Hollard one from the 94.7, sits nice and tight but the BBB and some of the overseas ones are a bit loose.

Yup.....rib cage jobbies.......

On the MTB....lost 'n 750ml bottle.....Confused.

They tend to wear out after a while......

TCS have a few bikes with NASTY marks on from the bottle slipping through and rubbing on the frame.......(Rib Cage)

Cinelli works really well.

I've lost bottles and broken cages in carbon, alu and plastic, from tacx, specialized and others.  The Cinellis are holding true for 18 months now.

BUT Cinelli costs one arm per cage.  And a leg for the bolts to hold it to the frame.

the cinelli ones have a lifetime breakage warrantee so if you want to spend R600 on a bottle cage then thats your cage but if you want functional and light the BBB carbon cages are decent had them on my bike for three years now and still holding on tight

(i have gone through more wheelsets than bottle cages in the past three years)
