If the specs are the same ones I just googled then the silverback is miles ahead in terms of components.

The spark will be more of a fun bike and the sido more xc orientated.

First question: What are you using it for?

If racing (and by racing, I mean REALLY racing, as in competitively and for position) then the Sido. If general riding, some fun, some XCM / XCO and general tomfoolery, then DEFINITELY the Scott.

One is an out and out race bike. The other is far more suited to everything else as well as being a competent XCM bike that can whip an XCO course.

Scott would get my vote every day of the week, unless I was jostling for position on the local XCO scene (which I'm definitely not)

It'll be more comfortable, more confidence inspiring (due to the geo) and more stable than the Sido in every situation. Parts should always be secondary to geo. You can replace parts easily. Frames, less so.

The Sido is meant for enjoying your rides in comfort with a good value for weight and good handling bike. It will be faster than the Scott up climbs and overall because of the lighter weight. The Scott is a better trail bike but it is heavier but will be more safe/stable going downhill. I will go with the Sido because I prefer lighter bikes.
