I saw this yesterday at my LBS.

I know it is not new but it is one bad a$s looking bike and the guy that owns it says that it rides good and grips like mad in tight turns.

As founding member and now president of the "I hate Trek because LA rides one" club, I must say the new ones are good looking. I absolutely love the look of the Remedy.

This 69er is also good looking. With you on the fork Zaskar. A bit overkill if you ask me, but still lokks nice.

I still don't know about the 26" wheel on the back and 29" on the front.

Probably good for training, going up hill all the time.

well the big weheel up front rolls over bumps better and gives better traction as has more contact area, and the small wheel at the back is better for accelaration and helps with the gearing, as to turn a 29" wheel is hard enough so with a SS it must be really tough.......

Travis Brown has made them cool......

Depends whether he still has the Jones ACX tyres on or not, because those things are pretty bloody terrible!

Other than that, it's cool.

Travis' bike to buy, essentially (hence the colour), you get loads of them in the States.

These forks are what you would call "upside down" forks on a mx bike is this new in MTBing to have your forks like this or is it old?

It's pretty old, Missy Giove used to have them on her Cannondale DH bike until she took them to court to have them removed. It was in her contract that she had to ride with them, but they used to piss oil all over her brakes hence endangering her life, was quite a funny fight at the time.

Maverick's been doing it for a while. They only do it with double crown forks though.

Is it not normal on most bikes cause of the oil issue or cause it doesnt work well on a MTB bike?

The theory is good, just application is a little lacking, alot of it has to do with the fact that you can only run discs with 'em.

a buddy of mine had a set of these forks which were single crown, upside down and could ran V-brakes -- ooh, what were they called  now.......

yes, they were pretty terrible.....
