Don't know if this has been asked before but here goes:

If you have a bike that you like to ride occasionally, (and is tubeless), what can you do to keep the tyres in a "ready-to-ride" state, as far as is possible, with minimal effort and cost?

"Occasionally" may be up to three month intervals...

There has to be lots of bikes out there in this category....

Besides suggestions to sell it ????, please let me know what you guys are doing to save on effort and cost.

Thanks!

I heard of a few cases where the sealant weakend tubes that tore on the first use after standing a ling time.

I have to agree with the tube option. After hanging a few months you will have so much gunk in the tire that you will have to clean it out before a ride.

And safety might be a concern as well.

I've got a spare bike I ride very little as well. Just make sure the tyres aren't flat and that you spin the wheels every now and then. I've had no issues with mine - have done it this way for a very long time with Stans in the tyres (Maxxis, Onza, and Spaz tyres).

You don't need any specific type of sealant and definitely don't need tubes.

The only option is to buy some good quality tubes.

Do Not put Sealant Inside.

Tubeless Tyres need to be Active to work long term. (Even Then !!!!)

Thanks.... but then is constant punctures not an issue?? Or are you using some very tough tyre?
