Hey all,

So, I'm starting to give up hope about the Garmin V3 pedals ever being delivered (or being accurate, once delivered), and so am looking at other options.

Anyone used the Favero Assioma? Thoughts / opinions / warnings?

Thanks!

D

Well, they are rechargeable, so at least you won't have the battery cap issues of the Vectors, or the battery caps made of marshmallow-strength metal on the Powertap P1 pedals.

If I remember correctly, a recent firmware update made them compatible with oval chainrings, plus improved their accuracy.

haven't used them myself.  I assume you've checked out Ray's review...

I have - and this one..

I'm actually now just trying to find a local distributer so that I can get a price point for the Assioma, so that I can compare that with the P1 (although P1 is heavy and chunky), which is a pity

That part is more concerning to me than the 132g extra weight, to be honest...

Both are R12k+, and if my very very expensive toy were to start acting up, I don't want to worry about support.

in my experience the support from Powertap has always been good.
