TrainerRoad vs Sufferfest

I been using TR for about 11 months, using an older TACX Flow trainer and virtual power. Was looking at the Sufferfest app and wondering if it was better than TR or basically the same.

Anyone used both and have any opinions ?

Same, except I'm using a "smart" trainer. Also keen to see what others say.

Why are you thinking of changing  over?

Trainerroad is awesome to use if you understand the dynamics behind it. It seems one dimensional, but it an amazing training tool.
What is great you can create your own workouts.

Sufferfest is also nice, it is more video/visual based.
So they engage you with the video graphics.
The training outcomes are similar

I like the setup of trainer road... no frills... you select your program, and stick to it.

that was very helpful - thanks for that.  I have been using TR for a while now, and the features you mention on SF sound interesting - TR does get monotonous

For me, Sufferfest on iPad is more fun and interactive. I have also had good results using their TrainingPeaks programs, which are free.

I also like the Yoga videos which are easy to do and designed for cyclists. Not to mention the humour they sprinkle in their videos.
