I agree in some ways, but I'm also pretty certain they aren't the only ones doing it... Cities record signing is De Bruyne for 55mil, that's not even in the top 20 most expensive players. They've bought smart for the large part... quality at the right price.

Just as a quick example, how are Inter suddenly affording all these players they've just reeled in? They've had no success of late to boost the coffers... many of the big Italian clubs walking a lovely tight rope with their debt - they've even got more than my Spurs who just spent near on a billion on a stadium.

City are just upsetting the grand order, just like Chelsea did with Abramovich... I'm happy to see it, even as a Spurs fan for whom a 5th place Champions league spot might prove pretty useful.

I do think they are the only ones in the EPL doing it since FFP started. Again, I agree FFP is stupid and should be scrapped. But given how blatantly City were circumventing the rules they had this coming.

If teams like Inter are also breaking the rules then they should also be punished. The "other people also did it but weren't punished"-defense rarely gets you much traction in court.

I'm hoping the Win against the Magpies will be the catalyst us gooners have all been waiting for. Good that the others whom have been going through a drought got on the scoreboard too.

With Liverpool, Spurs, City and Leicester all still to come we needed this W

Eish... played the whole game pretty much with it broken it seems.

We're definitely thin on fire power up top now as Kane's still out for some time.

We've got a brillliant youngster Parrot in the wings... but he's very young, 17 I think, tough ask, but you just never know.

All to play for what with City potentially excluded from Champions league. suddenly opens up a lot of possibilities

Of course this couldn’t have come at a worse time...

But, there should not be any reason for holding Parrot back, even at 17. From the little I’ve seen him play, he should certainly be an option. He is actually quite similar in style to Harry Kane and could just have a blinder. I’d take the chance.

I wish Sonny a speedy recovery

And to the surprise of no one Atletico beat Liverpool at the Wanda.. Liverpool really dont seem to travel well consistently in the CL..the most surprising stat was that Liverpool had no shots on targets which means Atletico had a solid game plan and stuck to it. And they are very difficult to beat at home

And Dortmund beat PSG in Germany.

Well if you were surprised you haven't been paying attention

PSG scored an away goal..which will help their cause and Anfield is always difficult for traveling teams.

All set for interesting second legs... Atletico will either go through or they will injure half of the Liverpool squad.... cause that's how they play when they travel.

Meeting my spurs fan mate down the pub this evening for the game. Keen to see the team sheet.

Think the stadium will be a magical place to be tonight.

Have fun, enjoy, and give away your dignity... That way, we will have a chance of catching you guys on the Telly, hahahahahaaa.... Enjoy the game Mate

I’m guessing that Mourinho is going to play Bergwijn through the centre in a front 3.... with Dele and Moura either side, in a false 9 and a 10 position...

What if Mourinho also decides to go with a 3-man midfield with Winks at the base and Ndombele and GLC servicing the attack from the flanks... Okay, imagination over, lol

RB Leipzig players know exactly how to dive... Lucas Moura Should never have been blown for a foul that wasn’t... He was free on goal :sigh:
