What will be a decent road bike to convert for Triathlons?

Just add tri bars. Seat post clamp is reversible but just purchase a 2nd post and saddle for Tri set up when using it in that mode

And which tri bars would you suggest on the flat handlebars? The knot systembar on the hi-mod models is flat and and so are the vision metron 4d that come on the other ones.

Asking because doing this was exactly my plan, I ordered the ultegra model, planning to also use it for the occasional TT, but now it seems I need to buy the whole vision 4d flat MAS system (which includes handlebars) at a horrendous price just to get the clip on tri bar part?

Well that's exactly what I was thinking you should do since its a lot cheaper than a tri bike. Plus the system is engineered to work with its aero bar without compromising the race handlebar

any roadbike that you like...

 

add any form of forward seatpost and tri-bars and if you have a bit of extra cash, put on some aero rims...

 

buying a roadbike now, just please make sure you get the disc version and frame clearance that you can fit 28mm tyres. you'll thank me later

Another option is the giant aero kit for the Propel Advanced Sl Disc. Not sure if the bars will fit.

So that also leave the Giant Propel Advanced SL disc as an option
