So you actually managed to travel backwards?

Perhaps some inspiration is needed:

No I managed to keep the gyroscope dead still. The wheels on the other hand did something totally different.

This weekend brought me to a whole new level of understanding.

And it scares me. Fixie. As in fixed. As in not broken. As in no freewheel. This has been the "item" to overcome during this past weekend training camp.

I managed to get the balance thing right. I managed to rock a few times back and forth. Get the whole gyroscope, accelerator and brake in sync for about half a pedal stroke. I was so happy I did not fall and was balancing and pedaling, I forgot the pedal part. You know that fixie sub culture track vibe thing. I was expecting to coast along like you do on a normal bicycle. Nope, nadda, nee, nein, nhet, eikona. The learning curve was not steep. It took me way to many times to get this right. Just keep pedaling. Dory would have been proud. Just keep pedaling. My shins are not sore - but the back of my calves from the pedal strikes hurt like hell.

Eventually I figured I needed to raise the seat a little. It kinda helped with getting the feet to keep on going round. Those cranks on a 20inch go round awfully fast. So the seat height helped.

And yes, I can now go about 2 meters. And then I meet mother earth. Thank goodness for savlon and micropore.

I am wondering if a 24 inch would not have been better. Or maybe I should just put on longer cracks.

Already thinking of upgrades and I can't even ride the darn thing.

Alot of the time the unicycle likes to do its own thing.

Like teach me not to brag and introduce me to mother earth. Obviously the uni also likes the camera. Evolution does not allow of the the mating of a unicycle and a camera. No guesses as to who won the fight.

Wise move, over-training is a real thing. :D  ;)

Ja, I was eat training as well and my extra power eating may not be helping the gyroscope

The momentum of lean muscle is apparently different to the momentum of executive muscle (excess carbs must be stored somewhere). This differential is a real issue.
