How heavy are we talking?

I'm about 110kg (buttnaked post dump) on a good day. Kitted with backpack about 118kg

Only doing about 20km per day total. I just don't like cycling suspension and big soft rubber if I don't have to. I did make that mistake once... Took about 30% longer for twice the effort.

What do you run and how well does it work? How does it feel/roll in comparison to other setups.

I run DH casing tyres  :w00t:  obviously it's not going to feel like a road bike, but I can hit a couple of gaps on my commute as well.

If you commute with a Hybrid or Road Bike, worth getting yourselves Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres Or Continental Contact tyres. On my second set on my new commuter bike and trouble free commuting in all conditions around London

Commute with Road bike and MTB bike.  Both normal tyres with tubes.  Nothing special.  In 8000km commuting this year I suffered 2 punctures both of them on road bikes.  I don't sweat too much about it.  When commuting in SA I also used a normal roadbike setup.  Tyres did not last as long as it does here.  Puncture risk in SA is soooo much more.

ppffftttt ... I have always said the time one needs to run is if the police are chasing you!

+1.  Only run when I am in biiiiig trouble and I don't have a bike or car at hand.
