So not all things really need to be expensive in order to fulfill a basic function, right?

What are your favourite purchases that you made that cost next to nothing and you're pretty damn happy with it? Feel free to share them!

Here are mine:

Handlebars for a secondary mess around MTB:

Mechanix gloves I bought for a different purpose. However, they arrived yesterday and might just use them to ride with in colder weather:

My wife has had all of her wish purchases refunded over the last few months. One or two parcels arrived almost a year later after the refund.

Same thing happens with me, goods don't end up being delivered, I get a refund, and then two months later the parcel arrives as a nice surprise for free!

So seems there is light at the end of the tunnel..

I ordered a few things online about 5 months ago, after a month I had received nothing, in the 2nd month I received 1 parcel, then I tried my luck and ordered something else last month, that parcel I received 2 weeks ago but still none of the 1st batch bar that 1 parcel. I come home this morning and I find the 5 notices from the post office for the outstanding items I have been waiting for and quite frankly actually gave up on and basically wrote them off.

Seems the Post Office are finally sorting out their backlog.

Happy me.

To add, all my items I purchased I am extremely happy with, I got the Garmin out front mount which can attach a GoPro on it and just fitted, super happy, aswell as the carbon aero handlebar, actually very happy with all my items.. Better quality than I expected tbh..

Got a nice out-front Garmin mount and some red flashing lights for the seatpost.

Blue handlebar tape didn't have sticky tape on the inside, but still proper.

Overall impressed with quality for the price. Not premium quality, but pretty decent.

Where did you grab them from?

Have been lots of things. Carbon handlebars road, TT and MTB. All very nice. Seats, all poor. Chain master links and derailleur jockey wheels were good. Helmets were good. Also bought brakes for road and MTB, brake levers for TT bike, many cycling shirts, road and MTB derailleurs and shifter for MTB, all good. Peak caps, bottle cages, brake pads road and MTB, all very good. Carbon road wheels, these were not bad, lasted 3 years then melted. Bicycle spokes, very good spokes. I could go on and on. Bought lights, the batteries were poor.

Cycling shirts for dirt cheap have lasted well. Best buy has been the Magene Cadence/Speed sensor. Paired via Ant+ or Bluetooth flawlessly. Hasn't missed a stroke and been through a fair share of submerged river crossings and (accidently) a couple of bike washes. Ordered another two.

Received a package today ordered 30 July. So it is quite a wait, but not that much of an issue to me.

Thought I'd try Wish out and ordered some small stuff at the beginning of last month (May). 3 of the items arrived today, still waiting for another 6 items. Quality not too bad considering what I paid e.g. R70 for an aluminum phone holder for the bikes handlebar.
