There is a cashew based alternative to ricotta, you can even make it yourself, if I weren't allergic to nuts I would have probably suggested such (given the company you so eloquently pointed out.)

Vegetarian with a nut allergy

 

My goodness, I used you as a joke recently. I was invited to a dinner that I didnt want to go, and the host asked if I had dietary requirements, so I told them that I was a gluten free vegetarian with a nut allergy.... got some very awkward responses.

On a serious note. Some news from Belgium. 

 

It's both ironic and saddening that we make films of people suffering at the hands of a psychopath and his murderous contraptions, yet this is how we treat infant animals just to satisfy our desire for a burger or steak.

This footage is from Belgium and shows the most 'humane' slaughter method now required by law. Place yourself in the position of these animals and then ask yourself whether this kind of treatment of sentient animals can be morally justified.

That's it. The ban on unstunned slaughter is applicable in Flanders, as every region can legislate in this regard.
