I think you can enter tomorrow morning. Surprised they marketed this so poorly.

Correct - they show on Facebook (comments) that entries open at venue in the morning

Hmmmmmmmm.... lie in and keep legs relatively fresh for sportif on sunday or sparrows drive to franschoek to ride this again and make the sportif a lazy dawdle....

These are the tough decisions

I registered this afternoon. Apparently they are putting a lot of effort into route markings and lead/batch bikes this year, so hopefully there are will be no issues of getting lost.

The routes have been cleared, but it is still a proper mountain bike excursion.

I am really looking forward to it.

I highly doubt that the elevation gain will be 2300m, more like 1300 at the most, but let’s see.l, maybe Natie has a surprise in his pocket.

See you out there.

How I'm wondering should I take the tried and tested 29er I rode on these trails in the past few years, or my old 26er...

Loved it, very well organised, excellent vibe. Marking and marshalls were incredible and there was no chance anyone would take a wrong turn anywhere. Stopped at two water tables and they had all you could need and more. It is evident a lot of work went into preparing the trails.

Thanks to all involves. Only one tip : More publicity!!!! There were so few people attending, shocking to think that until yesterday afternoon there was no mention of this on Bikehub. If had not Googled about it then I would not know.

Hopefully next year it will be same - but with way more entrants.
