Where can I find decent 26" trail bike tires

I've got an older TREK Fuel EX trail-ish bike which I absolutely love, but I cannot find any decent 26" tires for it anywhere. Does anyone know where in the Gauteng region I can find decent 26" tires (don't say crossmark plz).

Specifically looking for front tires currently. Used to run Specialized Eskars (26 x 2.3) but I've torn a few of them to shreds now.

Tubeless obviously.

Any help much appreciated, thanks

Hi,

I bought some Onza Ibex 26" x 2.4 tyres from the Trailhead bike shop at the Spruit a couple of months ago. Maybe give them a call and see if they have in stock.

Give Stoke in CT a call, they are well priced and carry an impressive 26'er trail/AM/#Enduro range of tyres.

Shipping should not be a deal breaker to JHB from CT either.

Hi,

In the past I have found that Solomons in Pretoria North sometimes stock decent 26" tyres.

I don't know what they currently have in stock though.

Checked it out, looks like they've sold to someone and no longer trade.

Hey, don't make it sounds like a compromise ;)

Those tyres are amazing, as are the guys at EasyBike

Stoke

EvoBike

Easybike

As any other bike shop and they will give you a Crossmark!

If you go Continental, just wash out the waxy coating on the inside, otherwise they struggle going tubeless.

I can send you a pair of 26" Maxxis Ardents from my spares cupboard - I have 4. Brand new. Leftover spares from a previous bike. I think they're 2.25 width

These were my tyres of choice for Swazi Frontier for a number of years.

Try Solomons cycles (Woodmead branch), bought a set of veredestein 26' tyres there in December at a very reasonable price...so far so good. like them more than my previous maxis crossmax.
