Allie Van Niekerk Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 Riding a FIXIE for the first time. What an experience!!!!
NotSoBigBen Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Riding a FIXIE for the first time. What an experience!!!!How's the slowing down and braking to a stop going for you? In the end I put a front brake on mine ... Could not stop it when riding it out and about in the suburbs!
Mudsimus Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Dont try and do any skids/hard stops with vertical dropouts.
CAAD4 Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Those okes in the movies stop and skid due to the fact that they have horizontal drop outs. Try it and ask a mate to film you.
Jacoo Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Dont try and do any skids/hard stops with vertical dropouts. Why not?
Allie Van Niekerk Posted April 8, 2019 Author Posted April 8, 2019 Front break it is. For now ????????
Jacoo Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Front break it is. For now ????????Definitely. I rode a fixie once, hated it. Commuting with it is terrifying, its an accident waiting to happen. Unless you got the skids down (which are way harder than they look), just run it with front brake. Single speed too, never coasting is kind of exhausting.
Allie Van Niekerk Posted April 8, 2019 Author Posted April 8, 2019 Dicided to sell the bike. Want to start the next project. What do you think?
Allie Van Niekerk Posted July 18, 2019 Author Posted July 18, 2019 Single speed Cannondale became a sort of a Gtavel Bike.1X10 Ultegra/105/XT....What do you think?
