MudLark Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Hi guys, is there any way to connect a Garmin Edge 1030 and a bluetooth trainer? It strikes me as a bit bizarre that the 1030 has both bluetooth and ANT+ built into it but only offers the option of connecting an ANT+ trainer and not a bluetooth trainer. Is there a widget or a workaround?

Would appreciate it if you could explain how... because when I try to connect a Bluetooth trainer it only offers the option of ANT+ and the manual only speaks about ANT+ - no Bluetooth (see the link below). Spinnekop Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Well.....I think you add the trainer as a "device". i.e how you would add a speed sensor.Thus search for powermeter and it should pop up. DieselnDust Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 connect it as a power meter.the caveat to this is that it may not control all aspects of the trainer but that is a BLE limitation anyway from what I can see.

MudLark Posted June 26, 2019 Author Posted June 26, 2019 Not sure. Polar H10 Bluetooth can connect to at least two devics simultaneously. But here again, I'm only trying to connect a single device - a Bluetooth trainer. IMHO, Garmin's dropped the ball on this one.

DieselnDust Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 What was the outcome? How many times have you had the blue halo problem? The unit was replaced. The previous unit was the first blue halo problem. One before that the screen just died. Apparently blue halo is common and known problem.
