Rezel Posted July 19, 2019 Share Hi Looking into either a new Stumpjumper Comp Carbon or a Second hand Santa Cruz Hightower C (2017)I have heard great things about both bike, the pricing is fairly similar and the components seem to be the same.So the question I am asking myself is why would I buy the older 2nd hand SC when I can get a brand new Stumpy?Any help would be great. The Santa Cruz is the basic Carbon model.

Pieterlab1 Posted July 19, 2019 Share Be like everyone else and get the Stumpy. Or be clever and get the San ta Cruz.
Grease_Monkey Posted July 19, 2019 Share Components the same, but SC second hand, so it comes down to whether you like the SC so much that you would want a second hand frame and parts over new parts and a better carbon frame with the Stumpy (all Stumpy frames are now the same carbon that was previously reserved for S-Works bikes).... For me, Stumpy, hands down. - New bike = warranty- New parts = no service likely to be necessary as with the SC- I just prefer the new Stumpy frame over the SC BikeisLife, Jako De Wet, nonky and 2 others

Me rida my bicycle Posted July 20, 2019 Share Well depends on how long you keep a bike, the guy with the Santa has already taken the "loss" in value so selling that in a year you won't lose as much. Where as with the Spaz it's going to be a lot! I mean Spaz have old stock bikes last year and previous year model selling for about half price so would not like to know what they worth used.
