I know it’s a bit of a snooze to watch but do we really begrudge the riders an “easier” day on a 3 week schedule such as this?

Yeah is a hectic few weeks and months ahead...

Before Landa's time.. [emoji2960]What

Like LL Sanchex in Case D Pargne (or whatever) colours? Movistar by another name is still the same team.

I do think his most notable successes with the downhill attack came after he moved to Astana anyway.

Dude Carlton did a very very fine job on stage 1. He might be a bit droll but at least he knows what he is talking about. McCrossan is just plain boring and repetitive.

have listened to Kirby for years up north and my opinion of him as a main commentator is that it doesn't work..he is good as a co and also does a great Paris-dakar...and those are his strengths....he was drafted into being the main comm...tends to waffle...doesn't recognise riders etc....yes Ant is dull...its a difficult job being honest...

didn't hear Kirby on stage 1....have the world feed..

Why the Movistar hate? Froome attacked on a downhill with the most disgusting style ever seen on a bike.

I know you all hate Lance, but even he reckons the UCI needs to ban that stupid tuck position not for safety reasons but on style principles alone.

I wouldn't quite call it hate. Just a disappointment with how they use their riders, some of whom were/are really talented.

You guys should try watching on NBCSN. Old man Phil Ligget would give you a heart attack if you are complaining about literally anyone else.

its a tough gig...but at least we can see it with this loadshedding....hurry up lads...horrible stormy western weather....electricity might go any moment... ^_^

Yeah, like when do you blame the rider and when do you blame the DS?

Like is Ineos failing cause Nicolas Portal is no longer marshalling the troops, or are they just the worst off in terms of the marque names with disruption to the season?

Would Lance have won 7 in a row without JB at the helm?

I mean left to his own devices, Valverde is brilliant when he plays to his strengths. Is the instruction for the team limiting him and others now?

Mas certainly seems like he should have gone anywhere but Movistar.

He was the only commentator for most of the stage. He was only joined for the last hour and a half by Matt Stephens. As far as I am concerned he did a very very fine job in trying circumstances.
