Or are they biding their time and hiding their form? [emoji848][emoji48]

We hope, I just don't think they are by looking at their riding.

Ineos Grenades worry me this tour. It looks like they keep trying to stick to their playbook from previous winning tours, when that wont work for them here, and they seem to have lost some spark. Is it Portal? Is it G? Dunno, something is off in their racing - tactics, ability, preparation.

Rebuilding..left it a year late IMO?

More like trying to find form and hoping that they come good in week 3

They didn't look great at the Dauphine either.

Something is off. I mean drafting in Carapaz when he was building nicely to a Giro defence, G not included when that experience would be invaluable especially with no Portal. Maybe Bernal still comes into form, but the rest look like they're on their way off the plateau already.

I don't[emoji1787]

For the sake of a good close race, I hope they do. I don't see anyone else realistically challenging Primoz. Pogacar is good, but this is a year too soon for him I think.

Feel sorry for the riders that are working so hard for mountain top wins.no cheering from spectators .All that hard work and nobody to see or applaud your victory.

I’m a Roglic / Jumbo and Sam Bennet fan

I'm a Jumbo fan, and Roglic is my pick, but I like Bernal's style (stupid glasses aside) as well.

One positive.... there are no idjit men in tangas running in front of the riders

Bernie Eisel said the same thing on Eurosport. All that effort and basically no one there to applaud it. Love the guts shown by Lutsenko today. Despite the fact that he rides for a dodgy team he is a fantastic rider to watch when he tries this sort of long range attack. Gives it a full go. Gave it his all and got the due reward. Just wish there were more than 50 or so people at the finish line to witness it.

Still enough time for the IGRodents to get up to race pace and give JV a solid run for their money. I fancy this is Roglic's TdF to lose given the strong support he has from his team.

Like you I highly rate young Pogacar and think him a GT winner in waiting. Maybe not this year but definitely within the next two to three years. Team UAE have a very very special talent on their hands and I am sure our fellow hubber J Wakefield and co will be very keen on managing him correctly so that this will become a reality sooner rather than later.

If Sagan loses the green jersey comp to Sam Bennett, I will not be overly unhappy about that result. Sagan is fantastic but so is Sam. Sam seems to be a very chilled, calm and collected character and would make for a worthy winner imho.

Don't get me wrong though, I still want Sagan to win!!!!!!

I liked this post for the last sentence.

I'm with you on the Jumbo bit.. they've come a long way and over time transitioned from Classics team to a GC team all done with a lot of thought and patience to get to where they are now.

And plus I've had my fill of the team now known as Ineos...they've dominated the TDF for long enough I quite enjoy seeing them riding defensively..today was def not a show of strength that group was still very big at the end.
