don't see any threads for this race, so thought I'd start one...

 

I've created a GPX file for the race here if you need it.

Have entered the 113km. (was originally 95km  when I entered) 

 

Not sure why it changed?

 

Just wary though about the Henops road as don't think there will be road closures.

Is this event still going ahead following the corona issues?

I entered but have not received any cancellation info from the organisers yet.

thankfully I did enter this, was waiting till the last minute. It will be cancelled no doubt.

Everyone can ease up on training now and spend more time on the couch.

Will also be waiting to see if it will be cancelled in light of the Virus.

I've emailed the events company and am awaiting their feedback regarding the event status.  Their initial reply was that they're waiting on CSA to say "Yay/Nay" ...  I'll share the outcome once received.

The route was changed on advice from the various traffic departments as far as I know.  I suspect that the road conditions around the Orient Hills settlement area on the R24 might have something to do with this.

New date for this event is 21 Nov ...  Confirmed with the organiser.

For now the event is proceeding on the new date.

Nothing mentioned on the websites or social media saying anything to the contrary.
