Sun Race - any good?

Good morning Hubbers!

 

Happy Easter to all.

 

I've got a older bike I'm using on my trainer, 9 speed Ultegra. I'd like to replace some parts, but am unfamiliar with Tiagra and Sora.

 

Then something popped into my head - a lot of the MTBers use Sun Race cassettes. What is the general feeling for Sun Race? Does anyone use it as a road drive train? 

 

This bike is going nowhere, poor thing will live its life indoor, like a bird in a case  .

If you're running 9spd then Sunrace will be pretty much on par with Sora.

Sunrace use to be a slightly cheaper alternative to the bigger names in the entry level range. So in theory is exactly meant for what you are looking for.

Ideal. And will probably save you a few bucks too.

 

They make roadie cassettes as well, though you may not be able to match ratios exactly.
