Cyclist robbed in Port Elizabeth.

Did a search but can’t find anything.

 

This afternoon our accident response unit was dispatched to a cyclist that was knocked over on Marine drive near The Willows. On arrival our crew discovered that the cyclist had been assulted by approximately 6 suspects and was severely injured. Our medics stablized the cyclist and transported him to hospital.

An update on Werner Wiehart.

 

Werner is in ICU with injuries sustained that include: 7 broken ribs, a punctured lung, a cracked pelvis and a cracked collar bone. We wish Werner well.

 

Please be on the look out for Werner's bike which was stolen in the attack on him. It's a high end Trek road bike (grey in colour and possibly one of a kind in PE), similar to that in the pic. Please report it to the police immediately if spotted, as it could hopefully lead to the arrest of the culprits.

Wow that sucks, I was in PE on Saturday and driving through I was surprised at how many runners and cyclist were out by themselves.

I figured its just safe enough to do that in PE, seems I was wrong.
