Ok i get it that Matt and his team will always opt for the best available rider. Keegan can do the mileage at pace but I've always viewed him as a roadie that likes to get dusty whereas Matt is more Mountan biker who likes to spend less on Omo from time to time. I have every confidence that they will be contenders for the top step but it feel like its not a foregone conclusion with this pairing. Maybe with Howard or Christopher or Martin I'd feel more confident. But you've seen the numbers so there's that

What struck me was the confidence and consistency that Keegan races the lifetime grand prix events with. If he races the epic with that mindset, they will be a difficult team to beat.

But as said, the epic is untamed and unpredictable, so anything can happen. Exciting stuff. Who are the other main contenders for GC?

DID, you are aware that Keegan is a multiple USA XCO Champ right? The oke can MTB and he can do it very well. I think this is a match made in heaven as long as they don't rip each others legs off.

No I wasn't aware of his XCO palmares. The U XCO scene is so low key I don't pay much attention to it so thanks for that insight 👍
