They won't ship to anywhere outside the U.S.   Being good Americans they are scared that you'll plug a 110v thingie into a 220v hole and fry your fingers, then sue them for $1450 gazzillion

you'd be seriously deranged to plug it into any type of wall plug. it runs off a cr2432 1.5v battery.

Description:  

Crankset based bicycle power measurement sensor, via torque transducer and cadence sensor. 

Wireless Communication:

ANT+Sport Bike Power Interface, 2.4 GHz digital RF transmission.  Compatible with other Bike Power enabled ANT+Sport computers from other manufacturers.

Measurement:

Strain gage based, 20 grids on 10 gages in Quarq proprietary arrangement (Patent Pending).     

Electronics:

Ultra-low power electronics package including high-accuracy strain gage measurement and low power consumption.

Crank Arms Compatibility:

The CinQo is designed for attachment to production cranksets with separate spider assemblies.

Battery:

CR2450. User replaceable without tools. Lid is threaded and seals like a contact lens case.

Documented factory calibration.  Calibration values are stored on the CinQo, for seamless interchangeability with receiving devices.

He he, very true!  The email I got spoke about not being certified for the power in non-U.S. countries.  They were probably referring to the necessary RF certifications required by ICASA etc.

i'll have to wait till after ive paid for the honeymoon before i can afford one....

 

would be interested to see how well it works compared to a PT. looks like a pretty simple install and setup

yeah - their head unit is the shiz. open source linux and big screen. but at another 8k for the unit they can keep it. i paid 5k for my garmin 705 which does everything their head unit does and more...

So it's a a real version of the power meter thingy that other hub dude was gonna make?
