Please dont forget this race, which started friday night at 6pm in Marakesh

There are two Saffers, one being Benky....👌who is slowly moving through the field, tsetrday he was 14th, currently lying 6th, and A gent by the name of rowan Matthews who is lying 37th about halfway

I rode with him on R2R in 2016, lekker guy as are his brothers!

 

Rowan now in 31st with 66km to Check point 3, Benky is in the mountains with 222km to go

I have another mate riding in the race but at the bottom end of the field, Patrick is from Belgium and has visited SA a couple of times. I met him in 2021 at Silk Road and he went back to Silk Road last year. So he's getting around!

Seems Benky loves a tight finish, currently three riders fighting over place 4/5/6/

With 10km to go Benky in 4th
