Sounds fun.

Think most of it is actually tar, but still a bastard of a climb Few years back I was with the family at the wedding venue at the bottom, did a little social mtb ride down to McGregor and on the way I thought - let me see where this road goes.... Was certainly a longer and less fun afternoon than I imagined it would be, I also remember an involuntary little nap at the top just to get my breath back... I always say if a climb is tarred or laid with concrete then you must know what is waiting for you. bleedToWin Posted April 26 Share I started an analysis now of a few big climbs I've done in the last 5 months, but decided to delete the comment. I was 40 - 28 which was not a great choice... The Gallows, Jbr and milky4130 1

mathewk Posted April 29 Share The segment from McGreogor to the top of the climb is also a bastard. There are some descents but coupled with the rollers and the final climb it actually ends up being 18km at 6% which is essentially 10 x Suikerbossie South side

Apart from some more gravelish tyres, thinking 36 x 11-50, after looking at the above msgs... The Gallows

Damn this gravel thing is so much fun once the race is on, but such a head scratcher before then to figure out gearing and tyres 😭
