Not the consumers problem, if orgs aren't happy with that they set a cutoff date and/or late entry fee

Oh, it was worth it! Much cheaper too even factoring in toll fee and diesel cost.

I did this event last year and all I can say it the route is excellent!

The rest was pathetic - the parking, the hour-long queue for the burger. 

That said, judging from my Strava activity feed on the day a lot of people did pony up and had a blast. I would do it again if the price is right.
