I have always used the courier guy. R500.00 JHB or Durban to Cape Town. Takes a day or two. But you must box yourself.

I would ask these guys. I last used them 2 years ago and they were great, hopefully nothing has changed since then. They specialize in this.

What I usually do is, I asked my LBS to box the bike for a small fee and then I send it with Courier Guy.

You need to organise the boxing if you use Triptych. Speak with your LBS, they should be able to do that for you

I've used CourierGuy and STCouriers, and have been very happy with both. Box the bike myself.

Can confirm both of these are good options, bike will need to be boxed before collection though. If you're fine packing it yourself, your LBS may have a bike box knocking around, otherwise Boxman sell one. 

If you're unsure, just get the LBS to organise the whole move. They do this all the time.

…agree with getting a LBS to assist, since they have the boxes to hand, and are practiced at packing bikes into (and OUT of!) boxes…

 

I-F you do it yourself, can highly recommend putting plastic drop-out spacers (kind of plastic axles…) where you removed the wheels from - protects frame integrity, in the unlikely event of something heavy being placed atop esp. a road bike frame, etc….
