You right looks like he's squeezing the front but nothing on the back lever (or maybe he has that motorbike style front right thing going?) LOL

yip, look at the wheels. You can see the rear knobblies clear but the front ir blurry.

also if you follow the brake cables then his left brake is for the front and right for the back

ok so through all your visual analysis, did he fall because of to much rear brake ?

I think he rear wheel hit something and it jumped up. and with having having the setting too stiff it did not give.

Nope, he hit the root of the tree with the back wheel and he did not recover.  Thats why he saw his ass

note to self  Lamp - when going downhill faster than slow - make sure rear suspension set to soft - actually very very soft ...

If you look at the cloud of dust on the first photo, my gues would be that his rear wheel clipped the root of the tree.
