Have been riding the Sid ultimate for the last 3years.

If it doesn't come with the upgraded bushings and race day 2 damper I'd stay away. Been through 3x new dampers, 2x lowers and 1x chassis (stansions) with the older version in only 2 years.

However the newest model with race day 2 damper is just awesome! Durable and performs like it should all the time.

What Morne said!

I have a Sid 120 on my 2022 Trek Top Fuel and it's not bad for an XC fork. But you feel the need for a stiffer/better fork when things get chunky and rough. I'm not a 60kg racing snake (68kgs) but am seriously considering a 130mm Pike. Willing to take the weight penalty.

I have a very nice Pike for sale in the classifieds...just saying 😉

Putting a 140mm fork will invalidate frame warranty with Trek. And it's heavier than 130mm 😉 😜

Even with my Ocho I have to use the LSC during a ride besides the lock out. 6positions on offer that goes from magic carpet plush to won’t budge when honking stuff but still plush enough for the bigger hits. You will lose small bump compliance unless you run more sag and subsequently more negative chamber volume.

i think the Öhlins XC fork is also good in this regard but a bit of a challenge to get set up well

Maybe if it had another leg it would feel nicer?😅

Is it not the same chassis, just a different air spring? Honest question

no it feels brilliant. It’s the next best thing to having flight attendant

I used to have a 120mm carbon one circa 2016. Even back then they were super nice compared to other things. And stiff like a fresh banana!

Yes. Same thing, different length air spring

SID 100-120 / Pike 130-140 / Lyrik 150-160/ Zeb 160-180

I don't know. I just know the warranty conditions limit fork to 130mm on 2022 TF. I thought the 130 and 140 were different forks

Really glad I bought the Top Fuel with a 130mm Pike and not a 120mm Sid as standard. I’m far (almost two times 😬) from a 60kg racing snake…

More travel won’t make it better . You could drop it to 120mm and it would still Feel great

Ja but the 140 spring is longer and therefore heavier (by the weight of 10mm of thin wall alu tubing)
