I’m super keen to report my case to the people that handle the consumers act cases, big stores get away with murder and we have a retail culture that side wipes accountability,,Im sorry in this economy you pull finger and do what’s right, don’t put items on your website you don’t actually have, or can’t get! This is not the first time so now it’s time to face the music.

Bikeaddict?

Bikeaddict are sooo bad. They have these 'awesome deals' that don't actually exist. Listing something on your website without it being in stock has to be illegal right? The worst is when you add on things to make up the free delivery only to find they don't have stock.

Ordered from Rapide today at about 13h00 got a notice from Courier Guy before 17h00 that my parcel is on its way.

Rapide is amazing. Had my first interaction with them last week when I was interested in buying a 2nd hand hub advertised on the Hub. Emailed Rapide on the Saturday afternoon (without expecting a response until Monday) to ask if spares were available before buying it, and Wayne replied a couple of hours later on the Saturday and confirmed they had spares on hand.

Turned out the hub was 💯 and didn’t need any bits but if I need something going forward and Rapide does it, they’ve got my business for sure!

I was quite impressed with an order from Cycle Lab. I placed the order online on their website, ordered MTB pedals yesterday morning at 09:18. I am in Sasolburg. This morning at about 10:00, Aramex Couriers delivered it at my home. From placing an order to having it in my hands in about 24 hours for an outlying town is quite impressive.

What I remember from The Law of Contract 101 is that an offer that is accepted constitutes a valid contract .

so if they offer an item and you accept they are contractually bound to deliver that product at the price advertised.

They use this 'quoting' system, where you don't order from the site immediately, but you ask for a quote. Such BS, but my guess is they found a loop hole in the system to bypass that law.

My experience with Cyclelab Online (albeit limited) has generally been good.

It's this polka dot/last stock sale that has then chasing their own tails.

I recently bought an USWE pack from a German site and it was in my hands in less than 72 hours.

Couldn't believe it!

I restore older Yamaha's and use a site in the UK called Yambits.  I placed an order on Tuesday 1st April and it was delivered to my work address on Friday the 4th at 10:30......
