My Revolt also came with this FSA crank. I replaced it with a GRX crank.

Fun fact: this crank weights 1071 g...👀...without bb.  It has a 19mm spindle.  So if you want to change the crank, you also going to need a 24mm bb.

Hiehie ... also swopped mine out for a GRX.

My OCD ,,, 🤣

That's what I would buy if I were you. The first thing I would do is donate those tyres to someone in need and put on 2.1 or 2.2 XC tyres. It will transform the ride. That crank is fine and does the job. You can always replace it down the line after a year or two. I have the 2025 carbon Revolt with 2.2's and it's a fantastic bike.

I bought the 2024 version ... exact same specification, just a different colour.  Being a 2023 model, it is priced VERY well ....

The only thing I have spotted where they saved a few cents .... the CRANK is not GRX.  The rest of the drive train is GRX, but the 2x crank set is "FSA Omega".  This wont make any difference to your riding.

I LOVE my Revolt.

PS - As my first and only gravel bike I am not the best source for comparing this to any other gravel bikes .....  But there are a good few Hubbers doing serious gravel miles that ride the Revolt.

That's reassuring thank you!

Thank you for the input. Will definitely consider that! Do 29er mtb tyres fit on 700C? Forgive my ignorance, not clued up when it comes to non-MTB specs...

I have 29 x 2.2 tyres fitted on my Revolt , but my rims are also not standard.  (swoped and converted my mtb wheels from my non boost Scalpel to use on my gravel bike. - so my internal width of rim is a little bit wider than the stock wheels)

yes, 29" = 700

Now it is just a matter of the tyre width.  Tyres are fully interchangable between these rims

700 is normally given with a mm width, while 29" is given with width in inches.  50mm = 2"

How many of us have put dropper posts on their gravel bikes?

Raise your hand and say Aye

🤚 aye

I was reading something the other day and it seems that suspension seatposts a la Thudbuster and Suntour NCX are having a revival because of gravel bikes. So if not a dropper at least a suspension seatpost can have people keeping up with the Joneses.

I wouldn’t survive my (or any) HT without my Thudbuster 😂 But I don’t like the feel of full-sus so it’s a very happy medium.
