Long term review: Titan Racing Cypher DC Carbon Empire

As far as I can see, it is a standard feature of the Gen 2 version of the Cypher - the significantly less expensive Carbon XT and LTD also list "SRAM UDH Hanger" on their spec sheets.
The article only mentions "Gen 2" once, in the spec sheet, and "second generation" once - easy to miss maybe? And since the previous generation also had an Empire specification...

Anyhoo, personally eyeing the Gen 2 DC LTD or perhaps the Comp.
So... any opinions on DT Swiss 232 suspension on the LTD VS the SID on the Comp? At least one article I read rated the DT Swiss higher, but a mechanic I spoke to recently mentioned they are significantly more expensive to service.

Thanks for the review and can echo these views as a new owner. Just checking the correctness in that the Carbon Empire is the 3rd from top specification. My understanding is that there is a Carbon Ultimate as top-spec and then the Carbon Empire?

In terms of spec and cost, it sits third in the range

  1. Cypher DC Carbon Ultimate
  2. Cypher RS Carbon Team
  3. Cypher DC Carbon Empire / Cypher RS Carbon Empire

But when it comes to the DC models, it sits 2nd from the top

  1. Cypher DC Carbon Ultimate
  2. Cypher DC Carbon Empire

RS = 100mm travel, no dropper
DC = 120mm travel, comes standard with a dropper

Thanks. That makes sense. Still a really great spec at a good price.

@Titan Racing Bikes, something wrong on your website, I could not filter any bikes and when I chose Road bikes, there was nothing to display.

It does. The Gen2 Cypher was our first frame with UDH. Launch article HERE. Since then, all our new bikes, including the Cerberus and Skyrim, are UDH. There'll be another launch next week, and two more in October and January - all of them will be UDH. 😎

Look don’t go mansplaining to a Merida owner man. Leave them in their cave. They were just asking “where can I buy a Cypher!”

NAH

Doesn't Have UDH Frame.

Don't Like the Wheels.

Got All that from the Spreadsheets.

The Orbea is Looking Good Waiting for Stocks to come in.

Will always Test Ride before Tapping the Plastic.

I wish to Correct my Mistake.

The Gen 1 Does not Have UDH . (2019 Model Year)

The Gen 2 Does Have UDH. (August 2025 Model Year)

The Bike I looked at must have been a GEN 1.
