Peugeot Lion Bicycle

Good day All,

I have recently bought a late 70s Peugeot bicycle which I want to restore.

I'm looking for parts locally for the bike, like tyres, brake, brake blocks among others - can anyone suggest someone or a shop that might still have parts for an old bike like this? I can get from overseas, but I'd like to try locally first.

I'm in Pretoria and would appreciate any leads.

I have the exat same Peugeot in same colour. My school commute bike. Bought in in 1985. I need a new saddle, please let me know if you perhaps find one. Mine still have the rear carrier on as well.

That's brilliant! I had one as a youngster in around 1981, but it got stolen a few months after I bought it. I've been looking for one for years, but they seem rare and there's practicaly no info on the internet about these Peugeot Lions.

I've found a source overseas for parts, buy I'd like to but locally first if I can.

Please will you take some detail pics of the carrier for me. I want to find one as well - my first bike also had one. It may be easier to WhatsApp them: 0834425833

I would definitely try Road Cycles in Dykor street, Silverton. They have been around for over 50 years and should be able to assist with everything you need.
