I tend to ride on the top, not the drops. But... this weekend I went out with some youngsters (both in their teens), I had to keep a stupid average power more than them (not NP), to finish in the same time. And I'm not actually heavy (anymore)

the one (a tall boy), (me+ 20kg) = my Avg Pwr - 20w
the other (youngster) = me - (10-15kg) = my AvgPwrΒ  - 50w

They are very focused on technique, to the point of engaging lats and core with proper position and push pull technique when doing standing sprints....

Drops? yeah most likely!

edit: might have to install a chin rest on the stem and pillion footpegs (for my hands) on my fork

edit2: They have crank based power meters (I know one is left only), and mine is a hub based PowerTap, so power on the crank vs the axle stories...
