Went back to enjoy a morning of crit racing with myself and my youngsters, last time raced this event was 2014!!

Was such a well run event, closed roads, tough racing and a race for all ages.

Big shout out and thank you to the team that put it together, I know its close to the Argus but should really have a lot more riders, especially in the younger age groups.

I had fun but placed nowhere. Should probably have shaved my legs.

Not a great spot on the calendar, but also no marketing really. Spoke to club mates about it and from all of them got "what crit race?" as reply... 🙁

Yeah, similar, I just found it by chance. Will try and attend a few more and call people out to come brawl next time.

I'd be interested to hear how many DNS on the total entries. We agreed we wouldn't race if it was wet and then once we were there, we ended up racing despite the first few laps being halla dodge (a poor kid even crashed and went in the ambulance during warmup). In the end I didn't see any crash in my race, head of one in the last lap of the vets, but it was fully dry at the time so not due to conditions.

Pretty cool race although I have no idea where I placed, we got the bell same lap as the front group that lapped us, so ended up doing one less lap, with some guys in between that dropped from the front group after we got lapped and ended up dropping from our "chase" group too. But I guess when you're not in the front group it doesn't matter 🤣 Maybe we should've been pulled out once lapped, but then it doesn't look good when you have 7 finishers 😅

Track rules. Race finishes on the same lap but you're racing for different spots depending on lapped or not. Can be tricky to keep track for sure.
