the same oke who's been going on about buying a new road bike was in today. had the same boring old conversation about how much a new carbon fibre bike would save him some time (his broken record). then he spotted the gt mtbs we've started stocking again. went through every model with him. he's getting discount, but wants everything else thrown in. there's a grand between the two modlels he's looking at, and he wants us to swop the shock and the pedals between the two on top of that.

 

 

 

uh, like, duh, that's why there's a grand difference! i stopped chatting to him, as did everyone else and watched the olympics instead, then...just as things were getting exciting...in walks a customer who wants to buy the bike i had just half-built. while i'm busy with the new proud owner of a bike and the person who actually wants to spend some money, in walks mr undecided again...his biggest concern? that the new bike may not match his cycling kit. i hit him with a pedal spanner, there is a warrant out...
