Sportsman's Warehouse (pathetic service)

I would like to express my disgust at the poor service that i have got form the Sportsmans warehouse in west coast village!!!!

 

my sound on my garmin was very soft and sometimes in audible so on saturday the 23 august i took it in to the Sportsman's warehouse which is 120km from home !!!!

 

I saw the guy Lenox from whom i had purchased the unit from 13 months ago (13 july 2007) and explained what was wrong with the unit. He told me dont worry they would contact the rep first thing monday morning and get a answer on what to do with the unit.

 

ok so i get to give it in with a ticket given to me 123900 dated 23 august 2008 and the contact person Chandre tel 0215545233 !!!!

 

so after my little trip on the west coast i had to go back to town so i thought a simple thing like the faulty sound they could have sorted out and i could go and collect.

 

i phoned and the lady (chandre )said that had contacted the rep and he said it must be sent in for repairs.this was wednesday afternoon.

 

I have just got off the phone from them and the have still not sent in the unit for repairs!!!!

 

now is this K@k service or what AngryAngry

 

i was thinking of upgrading to the 705 in a few months time but with service like this i dont know if i should get another garmin it stinks !!!!

 

any suggestions ???

 

I have made Sportmans Warehouse aware that I am not happy with their service and am without my HR moniter AngryAngry

But dear sir does the problem lie with Sportman's warehouse or Garmin, that is the question .............whether tis nobler in the mind to blah blah blah

hagar, calm down mate Wink(yeh, I know easier said than done) and search a post by Muxman in June/July or cantact Muxy for the groot kops number at Avnic and I am sure he will sort the problem out for you.

I have found the garmin service very good.  However, my vendor was Cape Union Mart, and not sportsman warehouse...........

i would say it is a bit of both !!!

avnic should have insisted that the unit be sent in immediatley when they knew it was faulty .  like have the unit numer be put on the pc to say its faulty and has not come in for repairs and a bit of follow up work from their side would ensure that the customer gets his unit back asap.

and Sportsman's for not sending the unit in and being so slack with it. really i could have had it couriered on monday if they did not have enough money to do it . we are far to complacent today and bugger the customer we have his money so why give him good service ????

i am totally die "nut" in !!!!!!

it should read both avnic told them to send it in they could have followed up on the unit too !!! If it was my company that is what I would have done !!! Go the extra mile i say customer satisfaction and I have always gone the extra mile for my customers and that is why i am in the postion i am in today Big%20smileBig%20smile

Hagar - you can phone Dewald: 083 348 6249.  He is a rep in the WP and would be able to assist with teh Garmin / Avnic person who assist with the Sportsmans Wearhouse in that are.

I have a Garmin (purchased at Cape Union Mart) as well as a Polar HRM (purchased at Sportsmans (Big Mistake))

Whenever I have something I want to find out about my Garmin the C U Mart guys in Walmer Park PE are always on top of things and really have good product knowledge.

 

So now to my Polar HRM needed to replace a battery no problem hand it in at Sportsmans and we will send it away for the replacement battery. I had to pay the courier costs and wait 5-6 weeks to get my unit back. Strange thing is when the battery needed to be replaced again I sent it to IHF Products myself and received it back in like 3-5 days

 

So is it the supplier or is it just that Sportsmans Wharehouse just SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

 

That is my oppinion.

Garmin really do give good service. Took in a friends Nuvi 200 last Monday. They offered her an upgrade, at a price, which she declined. She got her new one delivered to her work on Wednesday. Hagar you got pm.
