Not a dumb question as it has been asked oft before ....

 

The only reasonably logical reason I have seen is that when you have taken the wheels out the bike if you snap them forward you will have less chance of pulling them 'fully' with no rotor, thus preventing a trip to the price fixing LBS .........

Another dumb question Tromps! Whats a break lever? Is it similar to a brake lever? Ok just kidding? Getting bored and leaving in a few moments. enjoy da weekend....will check for the answer on Thursday cause I dont know either. Embarrassed

So it really has no purpose???? I apologise that the LEAVER ate some tree bark and added and A for it's lever... or something like that.

I was told by the rep that it is for when the wheels have been removed then you push it forward.... to help with accedently hitting the brakes and compressing the pads together.... and then having to pry them apart again to get rotor back in....

And me and my so called expert mate couldn't help either so I guess we're in the same 'class' so to speak ..... LOL
